CBD For Hemorrhoid Pain – CBD Instead

CBD For Hemorrhoid Pain

Published on

Hemorrhoids are painful and can come from being obese, pregnancy, or from straining bowel movements. They can develop on the inside or outside of the anus, making going to the bathroom and even sitting painful. Many people are turning to CBD suppositories to deal with the pain and swelling.

How Does CBD Work?

Cannabidiol (CBD) can help with the pain involved with hemorrhoids by interacting with the CB1 and CB2 receptors in our brain and body. Stimulating these receptors help reduce pain and inflammation. By using suppositories, you are quickly getting a potent dose of CBD that grants relief for long periods of time.

Reducing Inflammation

Inflammation can cause strain on bowel movements as well as the pain involved with hemorrhoids. Because CBD interacts with the CB2 receptor, it dramatically reduces inflammation. The CB2 receptors bind to the endocannabinoid 2-AG to modulate immune cells. CBD elevates this endocannabinoid, yielding better control over the immune system.

Reducing Your Sensitivity To Pain

Even though CBD oil reduces the inflammation, that isn’t what makes all of the pain go away. CBD oil also elevates the endocannabinoid anandamide which binds to the CB1 receptor. This receptor is in charge of your neurological functions, including your sensitivity to pain. By raising anandamide levels, these endocannabinoids tell the neurons to stop sending pain signals, granting you that sweet relief.

CBD Bath Soak

Other ways you can help with hemorrhoid pain is by taking CBD bath salt baths. By soaking your body in water filled with CBD, you are reducing the pain and inflammation. The added benefit being soaking in CBD bath salts is that they are also amazing for your skin.

CBD Topicals

If you want to use topicals for your hemorrhoids, then use them for external hemorrhoids only. CBD topicals that have clove or peppermint can give you added relief on top of the work that CBD oil does for your body. Using essential oils inside your anus can increase your risk of infection.

If you’ve never used a suppository, are you missing out or what? It’s straightforward and easy to do and one of the best ways to take CBD. We have a simple guide right here to tell you exactly how to use it, so you aren’t left in the dark. Be sure to stop by our shop to get yours today!

  • Hi Carolyn!
We would suggest this suppository for hemorrhoids. They do not contain THC so they are safe to take without risking unemployment!

  • What is the best suppository or cream with cbd oil used to treat internal hemmorhoidal issues? And is there any THC in the product as I cannot use THC until I am retired.

  • Hey Lorrie!
If your hemorrhoids are on the outside of your body, you can use creams and topicals. Vaping CBD may be able to help with your COPD and IBS. Unfortunately, we aren’t shipping to Canada just yet. We will be sure to let everyone know when we expand into other countries, though!
