CBD For Staph Infection

Published on

Staph infection is tricky to treat because there are types that are resistant to many common antibiotics. The World Health Organization has declared that antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest global health threats which has lead doctors and researchers to search out different forms of medication like medical cannabis.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical that comes from cannabis, and it has shown in labs that it is a potent antibiotic. Along with anti-microbial properties, cannabis oil also helps with the inflammation that the infection causes. Scientists believe that CBD oil could be a valid treatment option for infections caused by drug-resistant bacteria.

MRSA

Staphylococcus bacteria is naturally occurring in our bodies. These bacteria become an issue when they start to multiply uncontrollably, which can cause an MRSA infection. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a type of staph infection that is resistant to certain antibiotics. MRSA is contagious and can be transferred through direct contact and if gone untreated is a very serious infection.

CBD And Staph Infection

Cannabidiol is an antibiotic that aggressively attacks invaders of the body. In a study where a group of researchers tested five cannabinoids against six different strains of MRSA. CBD and the other cannabinoids worked very well against the drug-resistant bacteria through topical treatments.

CBD For Staph

Staph infection is treated differently depending on where the infection is. CBD topicals can help with infections on the skin but taking it orally, or through inhalation can help with infections that are deep-rooted in the body. It is important to still seek medical attention when you have staph infection so your doctor can monitor your healing and help you decide if CBD is the best possible treatment for you.

  • Marijuana cures MRSA when you take large doses in edible form. I used to get chronic MRSA (I am a Type 1 Diabetic), but now I don’t. Instead, I drink about 1 gram worth of marijuana tea every night. Basically I boil 1 ounce of marijuana with 1.5 cups of coconut oil, divide it into about 28 doses, and take 1 dose / night.

When I am in a country where marijuana is illegal, I still get MRSA (usually every 2-3 weeks). When I return to the U.S. with an active MRSA infection, I use weed tea for a few days and it goes away.

    This works.

I've been using Marijuana Tea (edible) to cure MRSA for about 4 years now. on

  • Hey Bernadette,
The emergency room is for life-threatening situations while urgency care is for minor injuries. MRSA can turn deadly so you may want to go to the emergency room.
    Hope this has helped
